Hi my name is Jenny Rix. Gooses Basenjis is a small kennel which was established in 1953 by the late Miss C Campbell who my mum Chris went into partnership with in 1962. We have 3 Basenjis at the moment Bushwacker Hurricane Hattie & her son Gooses Burnt Ember. We also have a German bred bitch who was bred by Noel Baaser & Rainer Fendel of the Mutabaruga kennel. She will be making her debut in the showring in June 08 here in Germany. We have also been involved in Norwegian Buhunds and in the early years Pembroke Corgis. The first Gooses buhund was bred in 1969 under the Gooses affix. We still have a keen interest in the Buhunds and my mum still judges them from time to time, including Crufts 2007. In 2003 we decided to concentrate on the Basenjis as our main breed again so purchased Bushwacker Hurricane Hattie from breeder Chris Frost. She was mated last year to a top winning male Ch.Akmar Amenhotep who was top Basenji for 2004 (currently has 19 CC's and several res CC's) to produce our next generation Gooses Burnt Ember. Our new addition Belle "Mutabaruga's Inner Circle" has settled very well. She will be making her ring debut in June 08! We are currently living in Germany at the minute as my husband is stationed over here with the British Army. We are moving to Northern Ireland in November '08' which will bring me a bit closer to home and to the shows in the UK.
